Yola Semedo is a angolan singer, songwriter and vocal arranger, born May 8, 1978, in te province of Benguela municipality of Lobito. She currently lives in Luanda.
His musical career began in 1984, in the musical group Impactus 4, created by his brothers and made his first appearance in the Arco Iris cinema, this in the province of Huíla, singing the song “My doll”. Yola Semedo was not a member of the group, because her young age did not allow, but whenever she acted, she did it as the group’s main vocalist, and in 1985 participated in the International Festival of Unesco. In 1986 participated in the festival of Figueira da Foz this in Portugal, also like vocalista of the band.
In 1990 he emigrated, with his family, to Namibia, where he lived until 2005.
During the year of 1990 to 1991 Yola and her brothers decided to separate and, in this period, did not carry out any musical activities.
In 1995 he won the African Golden Voice award.
