From a griot family, Wally SECK was born on April 27, 1985 in the Senegalese capital. Very early, he had a penchant for football. But his father always wanted him to continue his studies. One day, when he was returning from school, his father found a football in his school bag. His father then decided. He made the firm decision to send Wally away from school so he could focus on football as it was his passion.
Thione SECK, which is a monument of Senegalese music and an internationally renowned artist, was setting the stage for her son. He found a place in his group that is the RAA DAAN. Thinking that the life of his son in Italy and the latter’s desire to become a Maradona did not lead to anything, he asked him to return to Senegal. It should be noted, however, that Wally began to sing and mimic the songs of his father from his earliest childhood. You will understand that it was not very difficult for Thione SECK to make of Wally what it has become today.
The return of the prodigal son has wreaked havoc in Senegal. Because, with the release of his first single BO-DIOUDO in late 2007, Wally’s melodious voice enchanted more than one. Three years after the release of his single, precisely on December 17, 2010, Wally SECK released his first album entitled VOGLIO; Which means wanting in Italian. An album of 7 tracks which was very appreciated and which allowed him to impose its mark.
In February 2011, Wally SECK was part of the 5 nominated artists in SUNU MUSIC AWARDS. He had to compete for the trophy of the best artist of the year with his elders; Namely Viviane NDOUR and Didier AWADI to name but a few.
On September 4, 2012, “El phenomeno” serves us his second album entitled “Louné” (Tout). A confirmation album composed of 8 titles and which never ceases to explode the fm bands. Thanks to this album, he started personal evenings (without his father in the second part) at the Penc-mi every Wednesday and Sunday. And this, since October 31, 2012.
This confirmation on the music scene earned him a show at the mythical Salle du Zénith in Paris on 03 May 2014. He also received the title of the Man of the Year 2014.
