Banakeng Bunila Herman, known professionally as Richman Bana, is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter, and record producer. Richman Bana was born in Bamenda, Cameroon, on October 7, 1994. He is known for his blend of Afrobeats, hip hop, and dancehall music.
He started his musical career in 2012. He rose to recognition in 2016 after releasing the single “Molyko Girl”, a song from his studio album “Our Journey” (2020). In 2017, Richman Bana created his own music studio, Richman Entertainment, which has nurtured emerging talents and led to the release of his viral single “Panchako Dance” in 2018.
Richman Bana’s first studio album, “Our Journey”, was released on April 12, 2020. The album features collaborations with other Cameroonian artists such as Sedi B, Large Pro The Scientist, Yungka Films, and Edgar. The album was a commercial success, with the singles “Panchako Dance” and “Molyko Girl” becoming popular hits.
In 2020, Richman Bana won the Song of the Year award at the Cefira Image Awards. He has continued to make music since then, and his song “Pantchako Dance” was crowned record of the week at BBC Music Introducing.
