Pamela was born in 1982 in Libreville in Gabon where she grew up before settling in Mali in 2005 to continue her studies in microbiology. In 2007, she won second place in Case Sanga, a musical reality TV show broadcast on the pan-African channel Africable. She lends her voice in Kirikou & Karaba and stands out on stage and in the studio as a chorister alongside renowned artists such as Salif Keita, Matthieu Chedid, Oumou Sangaré, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Danakil or Dee Dee Bridge Water. In 2011 and 2012 she sang in Bamakool Jazz.
After several performances in West Africa to present his repertoire in festivals such as the Masa in Abidjan or Jazz in Ouaga then a French tour, this first opus propels her into the final of the 2016 RFI Discovery Prize. That same year, Pamela tours across Europe as a spokesperson and chorister within the collective of the Amazons of Africa engaged in the fight against violence against women.
It begins 2017 in style with a fiery performance of its title “Koulé” at the closing ceremony of the CAN 2017 in front of the thousands of spectators of the Libreville stadium. She lends her voice for the fight against breast cancer in a song that she performs alongside Coumba Gawlo, Charlotte Dipanda, Rokia Traoré and Josey: “For our sisters and for our mothers” composed by Coumba Gawlo and Lokua Kanza. The day before, she performs with her group at the CAF Gala dinner.
After her showcase at the Atlantic Music Expo in Praïa in Cape Verde and a tour in Bangui in the spring, she conquered the Chicago audience this summer at the Bantu Festival and ignited the Swiss scene of the Lausanne Afro Fusion Festival. She started 2018 in style with two concerts in Cameroon at the French Institute in Yaoundé and Douala.
