Michael Kiessou of his real name Anacle Michael Ghounam Kiessou is a singer, and entertainer of Cameroon. He is best known for his hit single Bennam.
Born in Douala, he is from Mifi and Koung-Khi from the Western Region (Cameroon). From a young age, he is lulled by the music of the world and the traditional rhythms of his native west. It was very early Influenced by Cameroonian artists such as Sam Fan Thomas, Pain, Richard Bona, and many others. Throughout his secondary course, he nourishes his passion and develops his art in school competitions.
After finishing his academic studies in the communications department of organizations at the University of Douala, Michael is in close touch with the world of radio. This is how he will meet during an internship at Radio RTM in Douala, Joyce Fotso who will guide him in his beginnings as an animator. Two years later, he joined the Canal 2 International television channel, where he will be hosting programs such as Sweet Surfer on Sweet FM, Comptoir d’Afrik and Urban list.
During his activity as TV-radio host, he decided to enter the music industry by collaborating with the artist Edel Koula. Thus, the single Demoiselle marks the beginnings of his musical career. In March 2013, he met the producer Philjohn9 which made him sign under his label Hope Music Group.
In 2015, he was nominated for Canal 2 International’s Canal 2’Or Act 10 and won Best Video in the Best Video category in 2015 and won Best Green Artist Awards in the Best Male Artist category.[/sociallocker-bulk-1]
