Letis Diva
The youngest of a family of 6 children, LETIS DIVA was born on April 8 in Yaounde Cameroon. It was at the age of 8 that the young artist was infected by the music virus and immediately she joined a classical choir, “the voice of an angel” in which she grew up (which earned her the qualifier of Diva) and little by little the dream of a career in music made its nest in the mind of the girl.
Later and in parallel with his studies leading to a master’s degree in hydrobiology at the University of Yaoundé 1, our Diva will participate in school concerts, will do some cabarets, will be majorette, mannequin, top model; she will even play as main actress in the clips of the tenors of Cameroonian music, in particular in the clip of NDÉDI ÉYANGO and that of DORA DÉCCA.
Meanwhile since her 18 years Letis Diva already writes songs of thread in needle after having received as much experience near the mastodons of the Cameroonian music such as Sam Fan Thomas; Bertrand Eba or Tonton Ebogo, our Diva feels ready to distill the atmosphere and put us in a trance.
Thus in January 2011, Letis Diva released its first musical bomb entitled “EXPLOSION” whose flagship title “disappointment” become a hit will be a hit. 6 tracks will be part of this album with strong bikutsi coloring but also with benskin and zouk rhythms. For a first try it is a master stroke. The success is immediate, dazzling, resounding and is worth to our Diva to be solicited across the planet for shows and tours and immediately winners will soon fall. Letis diva will be crowned REVELATION FEMININE DE LANNEE 2011 AT festi-bikutsi 2011 in Yaounde and as well as at Canal D’or 2011 in Douala. It will also be awarded the Mvet d’or, the star planets as well as the African Oscars, etc.
Now thanks to her explosion album, no event can do without the princess of Cameroonian music; in 2012, Letis Diva offered the public a new bomb as a gift for the holiday season; single entitled: “WE’RE GOING TO HAVE FUN” with the famous refrain “it’s the sexy go that you want to see !!!”.
In AUGUST 2014, the indefatigable, the stainless, the inescapable Letis Diva dropped another bomb called AKERE, a single that quickly became known. Then she goes on with another single called PAPLÉ which knows another success and in October 2016, the young and talented artist returns to us with TU ME …? a new single which, already very appreciated by the public and which has to its credit more than 1 million views in 3 weeks on youtube.
