Leon Bassene is a singer who evolves in the United States, born in Senegal precisely in Casamance. He discovered his love for music at the age of five. He began his career at age 13, two years later Leon Bassene and the talented Ombré Zion formed a well-known group in the Senegalese Hip-Hop scene. In 1997, inspired by the fight against AIDS, Deleme Kaddu Magg released his first single entitled “Sida”.
Around the year 2000, Leon Bassene decides to follow his dream and brings his talent to New York City where he evolves now. Leon Bassene expresses himself through different musical genres (Pop / Dance / House / Soul / Hip-Hop / R&B / Reggea ….) He sings in English, French, Spanish, Wolof and Diolla. Since arriving in the United States, he has participated in many mixtapes and albums in collaboration with American and Latino artists.
In 2012, he directed with MTM his first mixtape entitled “The Journey where we find romantic songs like” Super Woman.
In 2014, Leon Bassene released the single “My Desire” a song Pop-Dance-Hip-Hop in collaboration with the great Senegalese singer Wally Seck.
