Hen’s
Hen’s, real name Hen Timbo Gaël Jacob, is a talented artist, author, composer and performer from Cameroon. Born in Douala on September 9, 1991, he grew up between the coastal region and the center of his country.
From an early age, Hen’s was fascinated by music. As a fan of neosoul, R&B, jazz and gospel sounds, he draws a great musical influence from the Sawa rhythms that rocked his childhood. 2021 is the official launch year of Hen’s solo career. He began by covering songs by national and international artists, before launching into one-minute, self-composed freestyle sessions. Later, Hen’s explored the harmonious marriage between contemporary melodies and the makossa rhythms of yesteryear.
On May 6, 2022, Hen’s released his first EP, entitled “Henspiration”. This 7-track project offers a tasty blend of makossa soul and afro-fusion, which he presented live on June 25, 2022 at the Ubuntu Cultural Center.
In 2023, Hen’s will take part in the activities and closing concert of the SHEroes association, which fights against gender-based violence. He will also perform at the L’Escale Bantoo festival, as part of the Salon International Des Voix De Femmes. He went on to release several songs, including “Ka wa”, “Etam” and “Entre nous”.
Hen’s is a multi-talented artist whose music is vibrant and captivating. There’s no doubt that his promising career will continue to innovate and charm an ever-growing audience.
