Clarisse Albrecht (born June 28, 1978) is a French-Cameroonian singer-songwriter, actress and former model. Clarisse is an independent artist who co-produces her own music. She writes and sings in several languages, including English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.
Albrecht was born of a French father and a Cameroonian mother. She grew up between France, Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique. She began singing and writing songs at an early age.
In May 2010, she released her first single “Você Me Dá”, a deep-house melody with influences from soul and Brazilian music. The song has been played in over 33 countries and on more than 125 radio stations.
She was twice nominated at the MOAMAS 2011 (Museke Online African Music Awards) for Best African Diaspora and Afro-Fusion Song. And She finally won the award for Best African Diaspora Song.
In February 2013, she released her second single “Não Posso Parar”, a song with a strong Soul music influence.
In June 2015, she released her debut album entitled “Mulata Universal”.
In addition to her musical career, Albrecht has also starred in several films, including “Bantú Mama” (2012), “Saint X” (2023), “The Best Man: The Final Chapters”, etc….
