The 24 year old folk singer Fonyuy claudette Mbinkar by artist name CHILLI hails from the north west region of Cameroon.
The degree holder from the University of Yaounde 1 started singing at the age of 10. She has song with several church and school choirs where her talents were groomed. Chilli has performed as backup singer for several artist like the UK based Debra Debs , Julio Tresor, Mel nova and many others.
At the university level she joined the university of Yaounde 1 choir Glorious Voices where she had access to various state events and high profile personalities, the young talent went back to her roots researched and unveiled the rich cultural heritage of her region, unlike most young artists who emulate western culture she resurrects ancient melodies that women sang to air out their grievances.
After her degree she released her first album titled My Heritage on the 14 of February 2014 under the patronage of the Colourful Dream Foundation. CHILLl has as vision to represent, valorise, and promote the unique north west culture.
As a registered artist of the ministry of arts and culture she has performed and represented her region in various state events. She stands out as the Nso cultural ambassador.
