Blaq Diamond
Blaq Diamond is a South African Afro-Pop duo that is composed by Ndumiso Mdletshe and Sphelele Dunywa who are better known as Ndu and Danya. Both born in 1994 and bred in Ladysmith, Kwa Zulu Natal, Ndu and Danya shared a lot in common which led them to embark on a musical journey together.
Ndu is a 22 year old producer, singer and songwriter that started singing at the tender age of 8. His team mate, Danya, is a 22 year old who had always been attracted by fame. He made it a point to engage in tasks, like soccer, that were followed by a large audience and got him recognition.
Blaq Diamond is a musical ensemble with musical attributes of Pop, RnB, Soulful House and Hip Hop that is commanded from African native backgrounds. Danya met Ndu in Ladysmith-KZN(150) South Africa back in year 2010 during their high school days. Hip Hop culture has been a partly influential behind the creation of the group. Hip-hop stage battles and poetry, made the group members to connect, share and explore more knowledge in music. Blaq Diamond music is weaved with instruments vs vocal elements that touches the young, the matured and the adults. It’s the meaningful music that talks day to day lifestyles. BLAQ DIAMOND masters in creation of the upcoming fused music industry (Afro-Pop fused). It’s the kind of music that promotes love, respect, integrity, honesty, peace and soulful joy.
