Leeyo
Lionel Landry FOTIO was born in Yaoundé (Cameroon) with a merchant mother and a carpenter.
As a child, Leeyo, by his artist’s name, does not cease singing, interpreting in the shower, in his room without anybody having any real interest in it (not even him).
In 2003 at the lycee of Nkolndongo while he is in class of second, he meets a young group of rap called “VECTEURF” in search of a singer. Leeyo proposes itself to be listened to by the guys who all It is then the beginning of a beautiful high school adventure: constant participation in the kemesses of the capital, recording of a single (So Fièr) that will make the tour of the main radio of yaounde, bringing The young artists to be proud to broadcast “AVENIR” on national television CRTV in 2005.
In 2007 it presents itself to the casting of “STARS2DEMAIN” for the 2008 edition, but unfortunately fails the second tour due to lack of musical repertory enough provided.
Leeyo does not stop working and with his group of Rap, they resolve to participate in a national competition organized by the youth ministry called “Grand Festival of Young Music” in 2007, but they temporarily separate Time of the contest history multiply the chances of victory (one title for each). This is how his teammates will be destroyed completely and turns into a Leeyo catéghorie nearly 250 competitors from wins in the end and to his surprise the title of best artiste.Ce days there, he begins to think seriously to pass music to a level of greater importance than a mere passion.La same year he obtained his Bachelor and enrolls in the University of Yaounde 1, Ngoa Ekele in FALSH (faculty of arts, humanities ) Histoire.Ne option is outside “comfortable” in his choice, after a year Leeyo leaves Yaounde 1 to 2 Soa yaoundé at the faculty of legal and economic sciences option right where he obtained a DEUG (university degree In 2010).
In 2008 he returned to the cast of STARS2DEMAIN where he finds himself selected, going to the finals but finished fourth as a consolation prize with his entry into the great family of the “COMMUNITY STARS2DEMAIN 2009” with the other 5 vaiqueurs of publishing it recorded 2009 album (10 tracks) in which he wrote and co-wrote nearly half (Black Girl with Nelly NGWA, Happy Victorine FOKALA, in life with Krymar MENEKEU and Danielle Mbelle, Mama Jean claude Dibongue MEVA ‘ AT).
In 2010 he again under STARS2DEMAIN cameras as a member of a community, such as in 2011 after the emmission he takes off for Italy with the simple ground to continue his studies under the most promising heaven…
Leeyo deposited his bags and in northern Italy in Bologna, where he obtained his university entrance of the city in Economics and Marketing Mangement option .Pris by Leeyo studies do not find enough time to devote to music , But continues to do “mini shows” in some cities of his host country… Envy rises to the view of the enthusiasm and interest that each of its benefits arise, so leeyo decide August 2013 to record the single “A L’AIDE” which is the first title of a record of 5 (The “maxi single” HORS D’OEUVRE) which will be released the same year.
Before his departure from the country, Leeyo has participated in several projects, including the SNARE KICK compiles the famous beat maker Dan Exo the title BLACK PRESIDENT with the group of Rap HYBRIDE.participation in AKDMY compiles the young and talented Dj Saizo with Title Call Me Leeyo, participation in the compilation (not released) URBAN DISCOVERY of Taphis with the title The same story and many other featuring with rappers and singers such as The P-koolz, King RES and others…
