Annie ANZOUER, singer’s stage name, artist, musician, songwriter, arranger, of the same name, was born on May 15, 1967 in LOLODORF city of the department of the Ocean in the South of Cameroon. An unmissable figure in popular music for 25 years, Annie ANZOUER’s career begins with the group ZANGALWA of which she is the only woman and is marked by a huge success in Cameroon and Africa. First nicknamed (the siren of Kribi), today it is (the sexy MOMY: SM). It is part of the musical variety of Cameroon (Makossa, Bikutsi …) and the Afro-beat and the zouk, but also makes incursions in other styles like Word-music, dance, RnB, slow , Pop, and jazz. She began a solo career in 1994 with the album (Variations) which is a huge success.
Biography Genealogy, Childhood and Adolescence 1967
Annie Anzouer spent her childhood with her grandparents (Woungly Massaga Alphonse and nyoungou mbile louise) between the small towns of Lolodorf and Eséka (south Cameroon). She joined the capital Yaoundé in 1975 recovered by her mother (Miwou Lydia). Coming from a single-parent family, she is the eldest brother of three, a little brother (Mbile Paul) and a younger brother (Adang Marlène clemency). Annie Anzouer did not know her father as a child. But long separated by their respective families, the father and the daughter found themselves in 2010. and create special links. Annie Anzouer’s father is (ngiamba Simon) banker and international resident of washinton DC.
His beginnings in music (1967-1987)
In her early childhood she spent hours singing Protestant hymns (EPA), her grandfather who adored her voice and never tired of listening to her singing. At the kindergarten of ESEKA she was chosen to welcome in song the first lady of the time (Germaine AHIDJO) then visiting the city. In 1982 attending college (MATENFEN Yaoundé) his passion for music she devours it is therefore a radio hook-in (CRTV) she won the first prize of a modest amount of FCFA 50mille it relates to his mother. In school and at home she sings all the time. His uncle (martin Nzouerku) buys her first Guitar, which she learns to play as an autodidact. She began composing a slew of songs. In 1984 she gave birth to her first son (René Ngouo Woungly Massaga). In 1986 she gave birth to her second son (Ghislain Mbarga Yves) and the same year she met Roger Owona a student, with whom she will repeat and do his first scene in the Amphi 700 of the University of Yaoundé. In 1987 she met serendipitously saxophonist (Serge Mebenga) who tells him that Georges SEBA organized a cast in the Presidential Guard to recruit a choir singer, during his tour in Cameroon. Not having any taxi money to get there, she will leave the hotel independence from Yaounde to Ekounou to the presidential guard on foot. Here there is a brood of girls who audition, yet the passage of Annie Anzouer, Georges SEBA stops and holds the casting, she and two male singers. At the last show of the tour, Georges SEBA goes in the boxes to change and asks the orchestra of the presidential guard who accompanied him to interpret a song in the interlude. She will then sing “Ngiamba” (Anne Marie NZIE), there an indescribable euphoria seizes the crowd that claims 4 times the song. At the end of the concert Georges SEBA recommends that the orchestra that accompanied it (the GOLDEN SOUNDS: Orchestra of the presidential guard) to keep Annie Anzouer in their group. Two weeks later, on the initiative of ZE Bella Jean-Paul, the GOLDEN SOUNDS plus KERO and Annie ANZOUER entered the studio thanks to the funding of Colonel ZE YAN. After the recording, they find a production company (EBOBOLO & Fia), whose business manager, Claude TCHEMENI, is affectionately nicknamed “CLOCLO”. In 1987 the group thus puts on the market its first album (Zangalewa) including the title track and a second track “Disease Difficult” experiencing worldwide success (Title Zangalewa will be taken up later by many performers whose most famous is Doubt that of the American-Colombian singer Shakira).
Therefore they strung tours in the major capitals of Europe and Africa (Johannesburg, Harare, Lome, Dakar, Lagos, Paris, Brussels, London …) or whenever they receive a royal welcome and dinner with A large number of African presidents. President Kenneth David Kaunda would have even told Annie ANZOUER after a show in Lusaka (Zambia) “you sing like Myriam MAKEBA!”. In 1990 following the success of their first album some orchestra members of the presidential guard (John Paul ZE Bella, DOOH Belley, Luc EYEBE and Emile KOJIDIE) more KERO and Annie Anzouer ZANGALEWA.en founded the group in 1991 the band released Zangalewa His second album (zanga bidouwa) whose title “a baby” will sign the consecration of the group.
VARIATIONS (1991-1994)
In 1991 Annie leaves Yaounde and settles in Douala, with her savings and she makes at the end of arm a model in the studio of Tom YOMS. There the producer of Butterfly of the time Daniel PEH director of the label “phoenix” passing through Tom’s studio listens to his voice and falls in love. In 1992 he decided to finance the first solo album of Annie ANZOUER. He will hire two arrangers Tom YOMS and then Romeo DIKA. This album titled Variations will finally be released in 1994. A good number of titles of this album is very successful in Cameroon and Africa. Notably the titles “broken replaced and SOS” by Roméo DIKA, the title MUSSOLOKI a cover of EKAMBI Brillant, the title “Kanda na me” whose onomatopoeia “BA BA BA” is included in the playgrounds and the title Yanga. From this album comes the nickname of “the siren of Kribi” expression used for the first time by the animator pascal pierre of the CRTV she is considered then a singer with voice, a (Diva of the Cameroonian music).
VISADO (1994-1997)
In 1996 Annie is contacted by a French businessman of Cameroonian origin MBIATO who wants to produce an album of her. He makes her come to Paris and she records in the “studios anges” where she works with the arranger Ernest MVOUAMA. In 1997 her new opus is in the boxes called “VISADO”, but by the lack of serious producer and scammers In all genres this album has never had any videograms. The title “VISADO” will be worth to Annie to be celebrated in Equatorial Guinea and received with all the honors by the president HE OBIANG NGUEMA and his family. Patience DABANY has a resounding success throughout Africa and in the same year participates in collective albums (Golden Age) in which she interprets the titles, (these things) composed by jeannot EKWALLA and (remember) Of the Cameroonian Bassist vicky EDIMO.
MON HEROS (1997-2004)
In 1998 while resident in France Annie meets a French (Michelle Houbloup) with whom she marries wedding fair in 1999 in Cameroon. But in France she does not get along with her husband and suffers from nostalgia because she likes to live in her country (Cameroon). She divorced and moved back to Cameroon in 2001. There she meets a brilliant law professor at the University of Douala (WAFO God Bless) and falls in love. They decide to live together, and at the initiative of Annie they founded the cabaret “fishing vaudeville” in Douala who sees Prester in its most illustrious among African and Caribbean artists (EKAMBI Brilliant, Manu Dibango, Papa WEMBA, Franky Vincent, Jocelyne LABYLLE, Espoir2000 the Bobodioufs, Ben Decca, Lapiro de Mbanga, Charlotte MBANGO, Papa Zoe, pain, etc. …….). In 2002 she prepares her new album with his band, the (KWASSIO band) who as conductor and pianist: Valere TCHOUMS, drummer Epanya Kastro, low: Arthur Manga, guitar: Mevio said (Mayo), singers : (LOUS ZEE, Mia NGIAMBA, Téclaire, Lisette etc …). In 2003 she went to France to record the final version in the studios “Section Zouk” as a programmer with: Karim LOUISAR, Arranger: Annie Anzouer, Frederic Wurtz, André Nkouaga guitarist Julien Agazar, battery: Conti BILLONG, low André Nkouaga. This album will be titled “IF Mayala” and produced by Annie Anzouer and (AZE PROD ESSPRI) of the businessman Parisien Esso PRISO. SHARING (2005-2010)
In 2005 she became a member of the company AWAMA (troupe composed of dancers and musicians), founded in 2003 in Caen in France and whose artistic director is jean marie Mallet she becomes its voice and singer. They make representations throughout France, Belgium and Switzerland in particular. At the same time she made incursions in Cameroon to prepare her new album entitled: Sharing florilège of duets with young singers more or less confirmed of the Cameroonian place, notably: LOUS ZE in AKIBA, EPANYA kastro in OSITENGUENE, Émeline in secret garden , Jack ANZOUER in I confess to you, Big GISS in Abosso.
