Dibi Dobo is a Beninese singer-songwriter.
He himself describes his style as dibitic, a marriage of all musical genres ranging from rap to world music, including rnb and afropop.
Dibi corresponds to D and B in English, phonetically, and Dobo, also corresponds to D and B but in Fon (one of the languages of Benin). DB corresponds to Decibel.
Passionate about music from his earliest childhood, it was only later that he recognized his passion and decided to publicly embark on this path. Teenager, he starts singing in class. He then meets several young rappers, with whom he will form the group Def Lyrix in 2003. The group will release a maxi of 5 titles with the eponymous title (which will appear on Benin radio channels) between Seed Prod and Skool Skull. Until 2006, Def Lyrix participated in numerous underground scenes and performances in cultural days. But the members of the group will be scattered around the world. Dibi Dobo then embarks on the path of solo.
