Real name Jackline Acheampong, Gyakie is a Ghanaian Afro-fusion and Afrobeats singer and songwriter born on December 16, 1998 in Kumasi, Ghana.
She grew up in Kumasi, Ghana at a time when soul music ruled, with artists such as Asa, Efya, Burna Boy and Rihanna being the top musicians.
Gyakie is an aspiring musician who also happens to be the daughter of Ghanaian highlife legend Ernest ‘Owoahene’ Nana Acheampong, popularly known as Nana Acheampong, a member of the famous Lumba Brothers.
Gyakie started singing at a young age, but began focusing on her music career after graduating from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2019 with a degree in International Business. She came to prominence in 2020 with the release of her song “Forever,” which quickly became a hit and was remixed by Nigerian singer Omah Lay.
