HABIB DU BLED is a young artist (rapper and producer) of Cameroonian origin born on 19 October in Tonga (West Cameroon). He decides to bear this name, not only to unite around him music lovers without exclusions, “it is important to know that there are Christians and Muslims who call HABIB, it is a name of Arab origin that Means [beloved or love]. Everyone recognizes it regardless of religion, country and even the continent. But also to express his gratitude to one of his friends who has so motivated him to make music a profession “. He grew up in an environment strongly influenced by urban culture. Very early, he decided to embark on Rap. For him, R.A.P means “Watch, Analyze, Speak. It is the channel of his expressions, the best way for him to expose problems, to propose solutions, to make dance, to bring the emotion etc … “. At the age of 10, with the support of his parents, he danced with his brothers and sisters during his school’s school year celebrations (École catholique Saint Pierre de Foumbot). At the secondary school (Lycée Bilingue de Foumbot), he continues to bring this same warmth during the kermesses and evenings organized by his establishment. He picked up the microphone for the first time in 1998 to play the music of some of the mythical bands of Rap Français NTM, I’AM, KDD, Fonky Family, to name but a few) in a cabaret Of the city “the Mikado night club”.
In 2000, he joined a group of rappeurs of the city named HAUTENSION created by the DJ of the cabaret provoked. He made a duet with a friend, a member of the band, and in spite of the presence of folk singers, he won second place in the MUTZIQ song contest in the town of Foumbot with the title “La vie scolaire” All the establishments of the city. This success has greatly stimulated him to write his own texts, to make some shows and the radios of the Region of West Cameroon. After obtaining his Baccalauréat C and his success that same year in the contest of the E.N.S.E.T (Ecole Normale Supérieure of Technical Teaching of Douala), he leaves his city of childhood for the economic capital. After two years of study and observation, he decided with passion to join the rappers’ association of BALI (HAUTE PRESSION) which experienced the passage of several talented artists of urban music (VBH, CARLOS K, MISTER B , OBIDY STYLE, DROP, DIGITAL and many others). It is through several projects and collaborations within this association that it makes its real beginnings in studio mainly that of GISLAIN MUSIC (G-MUSIC).
HABIB DU BLED recorded several personal models of which the most striking ones are: “My reality”, “Africa”, “Like a soldier”, “This is how we live”, especially “We believe in it” feat LA GOUTTE The former group of MISTER B currently leader of the group HOLOKOST and OBIDY STYLE, owner of the CRAZY RECORDZ label). Not to mention those of the association of which he was a member. It is following a hard and promising work that is born between GISLAIN the boss of the studio and label GISLAIN MUSIC and him a concern of project of solo album. His first videogram entitled “My Reality” was released in 2005. Two years later, he took part in the REAL TEAM collective “Des champions” regrouping BIG B-ZY, BALAFON KUNTA, FRANKY P, OBIDY STYLE And P-KLAUS for a tribute to the indomitable football lions qualified for CAN 2006. After leaving ENSET, he is assigned to the Mora Technical High School in the Extreme North Region of Cameroon.
Moreover, serious health problems abruptly removed him from the scenes, he gradually recovered his physical abilities in 2008 and finalized the recording of his first album, obtaining a promotion (position of responsibility) in a ministry of sound Where he practices to the present day. This 11-track album titled “Garde Hope” is available since October 19, 2010, the day of its anniversary in distribution networks and all legal download platforms. It also features as a free download of 2 Mixtapes titled “The World Is Mine Volume 1 and 2” or 30 tracks remix of the hiphop sounds enjoyed by the youth of his bled releases respectively on August 30, 2012 and March 08, 2013, participating in Album project of the collective BALI FAMILY. Being a regular at the scene, he has performed at several fairs and festivals throughout his country (WEST AZAZ, FOPAC in Bafoussam, KAMER GROOVE in Douala, URBAN COLORS, KAMER HIPHOP SHOW, BLACK SCREENS, ABOK I NGOMA, YAFE in Yaoundé, WOILA HIPHOP in Garoua and many others).
Also in 2013, he put together a new single afro hip hop titled “Adam & Eve” feat PROSBY to announce the colors of a second album. At the same time, he initiated the project Kamer Boss which aims to strengthen the unity between the different actors of the urban culture of his country. Currently Kamer Boss is in version 4 and already has the participation of 60 artists from the cities of Yaoundé and Douala.
