Jahman X-Press
Jahman X-Press or Abdou Lahad Thioune at the Civil Registry is a singer artist of Senegalese origin, vocal lead of the rap group X-PRESS (Brahim, King Selmind and Jahman) of DIOURBEL of which he is the third and last integrating in 2005: With his open style and above-average melodious voice when it comes to his art, he is among the best of his generation. Few remain indifferent to his listening. With a universal writing and a quick adaptation for any musical genre he is simply a musician.
The native of the DIOURBEL region (center of SENEGAL) surfs as well on electronic music (musical programming) as on live and also plays the guitar. The young Baol Baol a thousand and one melodies is a talented singer-songwriter who only has eyes for music. In terms of spectacle, it is a beast of stage by its movements.
The one nicknamed MONSIEUR REFRAIN has in his discography several singles like WAKH MA ALLO, MAME SALIOU, MAME BOOY, … and two group albums:
The album KEN DEMOUL GNOU DESS released on SEPTEMBER 12, 2010 produced by the label JAHDIEUF PROD and which recorded hits like SAMA BAAT, AM AM, MAMA LOVER, …;
The album BIIR AK BITI released on DECEMBER 05, 2016 produced by the label SEN’ART VISION and which recorded hits like: REER, VITAMINE GIRL, PRESENT, ….
To this is added a solo album in progress.
During his young career, the artist had to make big international scenes like those of BERCY and ZENITH of PARIS. With his group, he made several tours in all the nooks and crannies of SENEGAL as well as in many European countries (FRANCE, ITALY, GERMANY, BELGIUM, SPAIN, …) and won many awards.
The vocal lead of the group X-PRESS has also made numerous collaborations with many renowned local and international artists to name only WALLY BALLAGO SECK, TITI, ELAGE DIOUF, FOU MALADE, NITDOFF, SIMON, MR ICEY (an artist from DAVIDO label), VALENTIN AMBASSINE (an artist from TOULOUSE) and the SEXION OF ASSAULT.
He advocates the philosophy that being an artist is a destiny and therefore an artistic career has neither a beginning nor an end because always according to the man with the golden voice, one becomes an artist long before his birth to remain eternally because even after his death his artistic works remain.
