Lydol was born September 15, 1994 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and comes from the western region of Cameroon. She is a high school student at the Retirement College where she is introduced to the scene. Lydol holds a Master 2 in Economics option Economic and Financial Engineering obtained at the University of Yaoundé 2.
In 2009, in Cameroon, she took part in a local competition called Challenge Vacances. She goes to the semi-finals before being the winner the following year in the slam category.
Her passion for slam is born in 2010 and it is from this moment that she multiplies the trays and theaters of the city of Yaounde.
In 2013, after several prizes won in Cameroon like the Young Talent Spring organized by the Francis Bebey Cultural Center and the Spoken Word Project organized by the Goethe Institute, she represents Cameroon in Angola as part of the Panafrican Spoken meeting. Word Project.
In 2014, accompanied by the Cameroon slammer Stone Karim Mohamad, she is flag bearer of Cameroon in Durban, South Africa at the Poetry Africa Festival: a festival gathering more than 20 slamers from several continents.
In 2016, she represents Cameroon as slamous in the pan-African competition, Africa has an incredible talent in Abidjan where she amazes the jury composed of Angélique Kidjo, Claudia Tagbo and Fally Ipupa. It will be the only one of its category.
She is the coordinator of the project Science slam Cameroun which is since 2017 at its fifth edition.
With or without music, Lydol declaims her texts in French, English, Camfranglais and explores slam in the Bamileke language and in German.
