Kajeem is an ivorian singer, songwriter, performer, writer, host of radio and TV.
Kajeem was born in Treichville, one of the hot neighborhoods of Abidjan, cultural center of the Ivory Coast of the time. Promised for a diplomatic career, he took the “clandestinity” to set his first lyrics to music by creating the Ngowa Posse in 1990. He skimmed the scenes in Abidjan with the MUR (Movement University of Rap), which he joined in 1993 and he becomes the appointed toaster.
Master of letters in his pocket, he released his first album, Ngowa, and is designated “Revelation” at the MASA Off (Market of African Arts and Entertainment) in 1997.
A militant artist, Kajeem expresses in French, English, Spanish and Baoulé, his mother tongue, the heartbreak of his country and the evils of our society. The universal reach of its committed texts is a reflection of a conscious and positive generation.
