Ferré Gola, whose real name is Hervé Gola Bataringe, is a Congolese singer-songwriter and dancer born March 3, 1976 in Kinshasa.
Being passionate about music from an early age (going to rehearsals for musicians after school), Hervé Gola has always wanted to become a musician.
It is in 1995 that the beginning of his dream begins to be realized when during a fair held in Bandalungwa (district of Kinshasa), Hervé was spotted and recruited by Werrason in the group Wenge Musica alongside JB Mpiana, Alain Mpela, Blaise Bula and others before the group split.
Ferré Gola was part of the Wenge Mother House group for 7 years from 1997 to 2004. He left the Werrason group in 2004 to found The Mother House Marquis with J.D.T. Mulopwe and Bill Clinton Kalonji who also left Werrason.
In 2005, Ferré Gola joined Koffi Olomidé’s Quartier Latin group, leaving him a year later when he embarked on a solo career.
He released his first solo album titled Sens prohibited in December 2006.
In 2008, he released Lubukulukumu, a 2 tracks CD which contains Lubukulukumu (song for his sponsor Primus) and a remixed version of Vita-Imana.
On October 15, 2009, Ferré released his second album entitled Who’s behind you? It contains 18 titles, including titles Maboko Pamba, Zazou, Soké, Kamasutra, 3rd Finger, Kickstand, Diki Diki or 12 hours.
Preview, his CD of four titles, is launched in 2011.
In 2012, Ferré Gola is nominated in the Best Male Central Africa category at the Kora Awards for the song Tchekele Pete ,.
In 2013, four years after the release of Qui is behind you, Ferré released his third solo album entitled Boite noire.
In 2014, Ferré Gola was nominated in the Best Francophone category at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2014 (in) and in the Best Male Central Africa category at the Africa Muzik Magazine Awards.
