It was in 2005 that Shaoleen, whose real name was Jean-Bruce AMAMAN, joined the Ivorian music scene, through RTI music’s talent show “Dj Mix atalaku”. 2nd of the 1st edition of the contest, he associates himself with his friends of Anyama, and they form the group KONTY DJ of which he becomes the vocal lead.
Passionate about music, disck jocking in a maquis of Anyama, these young people already have many musical compositions in their hands. Not wanting to wait, in December 2005 they released their first album “Multidimension”.
Variety album composed of 10 titles, Multidimension has really known KONTY DJ group and hoist him to a place of choice in the middle.
It has been very successful and has been awarded several times, both nationally and internationally.
The group does not stop there. Wanting to stand out from the canvas Dj and expose the potential they are endowed, they become KONTY (separate from the appellation Dj) and put on the market in 2008 “GOD Kontynue” album of 08 titles beautifully crafted.
Several musical genres come together, and Konty confirms his multidimensional talent.
However Shaoleen, vocal lead, has a vision of the particular music that he intends to highlight, and for him, the challenge is not even determined yet.
In 2011, the group broke up momentarily, just to let each member stand on their own.
Shaoleen then begins the obstacle course. He intends to excel in his field, wants to give more weight in the music and can do it only by playing the scenes.
He decided to become familiar with the live and joined the Kitoko orchestra, a live band specializing in Congolese rumba. Shaoleen is learning and touring with them in the entertainment venues of Abidjan. He is doing pretty well since he is loved and appreciated wherever the group speaks.
He left the Kitoko orchestra a few months later to join the sound academy with which he will tour for a while.
Heavy of a solid experience, he rides with a guitarist friend “the horse of four”, a musical band specialized in acoustic. RnB, soul, reggae, varieties, rumba, island music … all the musical styles are transcribed by the small team during their performances.
Shaoleen takes on insurance and experience. He moves slowly, convinces and confirms that he has several strings to his bow.
He thus sets the scene for his solo career with the title “J’la kiffe”, a parody of “j’me tire” by French rapper Maître Gim’s from the group Sexion d’assaut.
the musical dice are subtly put in place …
In parallel to this, Shaoleen affixes his signature on a lot of compositions, through featuring of a particular quality.
He participated in the 15/49 album, Patrick Kalubi, David Tayorault, Gadoukou Star, Zougloumakers, Valair Konty, Tyrane Mondeni, Miss Ebene, Koundou Waka (Guinean artist) and a musical project with Queen Etamé.
Shaoleen gradually begins to draw his vision of music and, convinced of the experience gained and the baggage well expanded, he decided to return to the studio in late 2014 to refine his first solo opus.
