Elzo Jamdong, whose real name is Elhadji Diallo, born in Dakar, Senegal, is a Senegalese singer-songwriter. He is a member of JamDong Community, a Senegalese rap collective he co-founded. He raps and sings mainly in Wolof, but also in English and French.
Elzo Jamdong grew up in downtown Dakar in the Plateau district.
He became known in 2014, thanks to his first Mixtape entitled Free Dope (12 titles) and since then his music is broadcast on television channels (RTS, 2sTV, TFM, Sen TV …) and on local radios (Vibe Radio, Dakar FM, RFM, Zik FM …).
He continues in 2015, with Free Season, an EP of 8 titles. The same year, he organized a concert in the auditorium of the Daniel-Sorano National Theater in Dakar, where he was full. His show is broadcast live on 2sTV, the second Senegalese television channel.
In 2016, he published his first album, Freengdom (16 tracks) in which he addresses the themes of freedom and peace. The first single from this album, Assiko Flow, is broadcast on RFI as soon as it is released, as well as on OKLM Radio on the show Couvre-feu presented by Jacky Brown and is featured in the compilation of 20 years of Couleurs Tropicales (released in May 2016 ) produced by Claudy Siar. The clip of this single is integrated in the Urban Hit playlist of the Trace Urban channel.
