The Karmapa, whose real name is Jean-Jacques Kibinda Pembele is an author and composer of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Born in Kinshasa, he grew up in the commune of Matete.
Baptized by his friends Bitu, the name of his idol Tubilandu the guardian of Vita Club and the Leopards, KarmaPa became one of the guardians of his time in his neighborhood as well as the surrounding neighborhoods, despite his penchant for football , music occupies a great place in his heart and the young Jean-Jacques sings every day everywhere and everywhere, he seeks at all costs that his friends and acquaintances listen attentively his compositions.
The Kamrapa goes through the Academy of Fine Arts, and in the 80s, he goes to Europe in order to continue his studies. Unfortunately the difficulties encountered at the time forced him to get to work.
During his moments of distraction, that which one will call later The Karmapa does not stop composing his pieces.
Driven and supported by his family, KarmaPa decided in 2003 to return home. He released the same his first album “Je m’appelle toi” which knows a real success with the Congolese public.
In 2005, he released his second album entitled “The time of love” and in 2008 he released the album “Riposte”.
